School Exam Results on Mobile Phones

Exam results are always a challenge for board authorities, schools, students and parents - considering the huge number of students and the high career stakes involved. Pained by the long queues at the Directorate of Public Institutions, schools and bandwidth chokes in internet parlours, Impiger Technologies took the SMS route. After all, mobiles offered a direct reach to the consumer anywhere.

We quickly set up a site for school exam results and allowed students to register via web, Telephone (IVRS) and SMS! The 10th and 12th exam results for Tamil Nadu, India, were available in a short while after board authorities made them public. Students got their marks, subject by subject, on their mobiles. And were able to quickly share the marksheets with parents, friends and relatives.
