Impiger announced earlier this month that it is committing to participate in a worldwide science-based commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.
Impiger has joined hands with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for net zero emission target setting and adopted targets to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and emissions from its operations. This initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments.
Through this bond, Impiger joins the bandwagon with several other leading global corporations who have committed to the targets. In an aid to future-proof our mother nature, Impiger has identified direct and indirect causes and implemented best practices to eliminate carbon gas emission.
Moving forward, Impiger will choose to operate on a carbon neutral process both internally and externally.
About SBTi
The SBTi is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi call to action is one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments. The SBTi defines and promotes best practices in science-based target setting. Offering a range of target-setting resources and guidance, the SBTi independently assesses and approves companies’ targets in line with its strict criteria.
